Happy New Year, and thank you all for being here as we endeavor to revitalize the greater tech community with a home that isn't tied to any particular brand, vertical, or online persona.
Our mission here at OJ is to be the nexus point that brings it all together, regardless of project scope, homelab or professional, production or laptop benchmark. We want to create an inclusive space where everyone and every topic is welcome when it comes to Enterprise Tech.
We're in the early alpha phase of getting this out there, after spending about a year putting it all together. We've still got some fine-tuning to do, and well... that's where you all come in! We could really use your help. We need to push all the buttons and put things through their paces. Who better to do that than some enterprise tech experts! So, use the feedback channels, send us DMs, or hell ... post it in this thread. Before we invite the masses to this place, or it becomes too popular to flip things around on a dime, we need to solve for any unknown unknowns.
In addition, we will be on the lookout for top contributors to nominate to be moderators throughout the process, especially within each specific area of expertise.
We strongly feel like getting things back to a centralized, forum-based model is the right approach. Of course, we're still going to have the OJ Community discord server for those more laid back casual conversations, but encourage your friends and colleagues to start coming here to post about issues they might be having.
We know it looks empty right now, but a year from now that is going to be far from the case. All of these kinds of places, even Reddit, started from zero at one point or another.
